About the Programme

The UIF Skills Programme (All-Rounder) is designed to equip unemployed youth with practical retail knowledge and workplace experience.

Participants will receive structured online learning combined with practical in-store training, allowing them to develop customer service, merchandising, stock handling and retail operations skills while working alongside experienced retail professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Successful learners will:

  • Support stock replenishment and inventory activities.
  • Follow company policies, procedures and health and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the store team.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability and a positive attitude throughout the programme.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Have a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
  • Be an unemployed South African citizen aged 18โ€“40 years.
  • Have a passion for customer service and the retail industry.
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be willing to learn and develop new skills.
  • Be reliable, punctual and committed to completing the programme.
  • Be willing to work flexible retail trading hours, including weekends and public holidays where required.
