Pick n Pay is inviting applications for the position of Shelfpacker at its Bloemfontein, Free State store.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about retail, customer service and merchandising. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining fully stocked shelves, ensuring merchandise is displayed correctly, and providing excellent customer service while helping the store meet its operational standards.

About the Role
As a Shelfpacker, you will play an important role in ensuring shelves are fully stocked, products are correctly displayed and customers enjoy a pleasant shopping experience. You will monitor stock quality, rotate products, maintain merchandising standards and assist customers with product enquiries.
This role requires someone who is customer-focused, physically fit and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
-Pack and replenish stock on shelves according to merchandising standards.
-Ensure products are correctly displayed and attractively presented.
-Maintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene in the sales floor and back-up areas.
-Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times.
-Conduct regular quality checks on merchandise.
-Rotate stock and remove damaged or expired products.
-Check that products are correctly priced and labelled.
-Prevent stock losses, wastage and shrinkage.
-Assist customers with product enquiries and recommendations.
-Deliver friendly and professional customer service.
-Follow company security procedures and operational standards.
-Assist with additional duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to successfully complete the required assessments.
- Ability to pass competency-based interviews.
- Willingness to be transferred between stores when operationally required.
- Willingness to undergo criminal record and credit checks.
- A valid South African ID.
