Overview
Barron is looking for a professional and dependable Delivery Driver to join its Logistics team in Edenvale. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and collecting products safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. This role operates on a flexible schedule based on customer delivery and collection requirements.
Key Responsibilities
– Deliver and collect products at customer locations using company vehicles.
– Plan and follow delivery routes to ensure on-time service.
– Load and unload goods safely according to company procedures.
– Obtain signed delivery notes and proof of delivery from customers.
– Complete delivery logs and required documentation accurately.
– Comply with all road traffic regulations and company safety standards.
– Perform daily vehicle inspections before each trip.
– Report vehicle faults and maintenance requirements promptly.
– Maintain company vehicles in a clean and roadworthy condition.
– Represent the company professionally during all customer interactions.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Valid Code 14 driver’s licence.
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver.
- Ability to operate vehicles ranging from LDVs to 8-ton trucks.
- Good driving record with no traffic violations.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours based on operational requirements.
