Overview
Managed People Solutions is inviting unemployed young South Africans to apply for its Junior Merchandiser Internship Programme available across multiple locations nationwide. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience in the liquor and retail industry while earning a monthly stipend and developing practical merchandising skills with leading retail brands.
Key Responsibilities
– Merchandise products according to company standards.
– Ensure the correct products are available and displayed in-store.
– Monitor stock levels and report out-of-stock items.
– Check product quality, pricing, and stock rotation.
– Build attractive product displays and maintain merchandising standards.
– Keep accurate merchandising records.
– Execute daily store visits according to the call schedule.
– Stay informed about product promotions and new products.
– Report customer requests and merchandising issues to management.
– Support Regional Sales Managers with stock-related feedback.
Entry Requirements
- Must be unemployed.
- Must be under the age of 28 years.
- Must not have participated in a similar internship programme before.
- Hold one of the following qualifications:
NCV Level 4 in:
- Administration
- Finance
- Transport & Logistics
- Management
- Marketing
- Information Technology (IT)
OR
N6 Certificate in:
- Marketing Management
- Business Management
Skills and Competencies
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable and self-motivated.
- Organised and able to manage time effectively.
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
