The Office of the Chief Justice (OCJ) is recruiting an Administration Clerk (DCRS) for the Land Court in Durban.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • No experience required.
  • Experience in administration or court-related work will be an added advantage.
  • A valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
  • Knowledge of digital recording systems and court procedures.
  • Good communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and pay attention to detail.

Key Duties

The successful candidate will:

  • Operate and monitor the Court Recording Technology (CRT) system.
  • Record court proceedings accurately.
  • Capture and manage court case recordings.
  • Perform backups and download court recordings.
  • Retrieve recordings for transcription and playback.
  • Maintain recording equipment.
  • Identify recording discrepancies and report faults.
  • Assist with administrative duties relating to court recordings.
