Overview

Cure Day Hospitals is looking for a professional and customer-focused Receptionist and Admissions Clerk to join its team in Paarl, Western Cape. This position is ideal for someone with healthcare administration experience who enjoys working with patients and delivering excellent front-office service in a busy hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

– Welcome and assist patients, visitors, and clients professionally.

– Operate and manage the hospital switchboard.

– Handle patient enquiries and provide admission information.

– Capture patient pre-admissions and process admissions and discharges.

– Assist patients with medical aid authorisations and quotations.

– Process reception payments and maintain accurate billing records.

– Finalise patient files and ensure proper filing and record management.

– Communicate with nursing staff, theatre managers, and doctors regarding admissions, cancellations, and schedule changes.

– Perform monthly banking and other administrative duties.

– Maintain reception equipment, including computers, printers, and photocopiers.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) and a relevant qualification.
  • 1โ€“3 years’ experience in a healthcare or hospital environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 coding.
  • Experience with patient administration systems and procedures.
  • Willingness to work shifts according to operational requirements.
  • Own reliable transport.
