Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a professional and customer-focused Clinic Receptionist to join its Haasendal clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient reception, scheduling appointments, handling administrative duties, and supporting the smooth daily operation of the clinic while delivering excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
– Welcome patients and register them according to clinic procedures.
– Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
– Assist patients with completing medical and medical aid documentation.
– Open and maintain accurate patient records.
– Process medical aid and patient payments.
– Answer incoming calls and respond to patient enquiries professionally.
– Direct calls and messages to the appropriate staff members.
– Provide information on clinic services and procedures.
– Maintain a clean, organised, and confidential reception area.
– Assist with medical reports, follow-ups, and general clinic administration.
– Support patients during emergencies and assist with medical aid authorisations when required.
Entry Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- South African citizen.
- Valid driver’s licence and/or own reliable transport will be an advantage.
- Clear criminal and credit record.
- Comfortable working at a dedicated reception workstation.

- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
